A young 27-year-old man was referred due to yellowing of skin and eyes. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) demonstrated stricture of inferior segment of common bile duct (CBD). Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) showed obstruction of CBD and
consequent dilatation of intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile
ducts. Positron emission tomography / computed tomography (PET/CT) did not show local enhanced metabolic activity. We performed a further endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and exhibited a hypoechogenic nodule lesion of 10×8 mm emerged from the second layer of biliary wall. The local
biliary wall presented a “high—low—high” echoic pattern.
