Dear Editors:
We recently read the study by van den Berg et al1
entitled “Fecal Hemoglobin Levels in Prior Negative
Screening and Detection of Colorectal Neoplasia: A DoseResponse Meta-Analysis” and appreciate its results and
conclusions. This study provides critical insights into the
association between fecal hemoglobin concentration and the
detection of colorectal neoplasms and is instrumental in
optimizing concentration-based risk stratification screening
strategies. However, we believe that several aspects merit
further exploration to enhance the understanding of this
field.
