Biscoumarin (1) and its corresponding epoxydicoumarin (2) were synthesized and characterized via IR, H-1 NMR, HRMS, and single crystal X-ray crystallography. In addition, the antitumor effects of the two compounds were studied on five human cancer cell lines including lung (A549), ovarian (SK-OV-3), melanoma (SK-MEL-2), brain (XF498), and colon (HCT15). The results showed that compared with compound 2, compound 1 displayed efficient antitumor activity.
